Pairing

Pair Yor Lonch

Every lonch on Lonchped must be paired with a backing asset. Chose stonkes or chorities.

A lonch is not deployed alone. When you create a token on Lonchped, you select a pairing. The pairing determines what the token is backed by in the minds of holders, and what the creator fees are directed toward. There are two pairing types. You must chose one. There is no third option at this time.

Stonkes

A lonch paired with stonkes is backed by exposure to traditional assets. The creator allocates a portion of creator fees to a portfolio of stonkes: index funds, large-cap equities, and one commodity (usualy gold). The portfolio is displayed on the token page with a 15-minute delay, like a real brokerage. Holders can see what their token is "backed" by, which creates confidence. The stonke portfolio is rebalanced quarterly, or whenever the creator remembers. Pairing with stonkes signals stability. It signals that the token is a serious project, or wants to be percieved as one.

  • 40% of creator fees are directed to the stonke portfolio
  • Portfolio holdings are public, delayed 15 minutes
  • Rebalancing occurs quarterly
  • The portfolio cannot be withdrawn by the creator for 1 year, in theory
  • If the stonke portfolio is up, the token page displays a green badge that says "Backed"
  • If the stonke portfolio is down, the badge changes to "Bakced" (a known issue, fix sceduled for next quarter)

Chorities

A lonch paired with chorities directs creator fees to charitable causes. The creator selects a chority category at lonch: animals, oceans, education, or "other." Fees accrue in a chority pool, and distributions are made monthly. The token page displays the total amount donated to date, which is the only number on Lonchped that is always accurate. Pairing with chorities signals that the token has purpose. It signals that buying this token makes the world slightly better, or at least that some money goes somewhere other than the creator.

  • 40% of creator fees are directed to the chority pool
  • Distributions are made monthly, on or around the 1st
  • The chority category cannot be changed after lonch
  • The total donated is displayed on the token page, updated monthly
  • Holders cannot vote on which chority receives funds, and have not asked to
  • If the chority pool exceeds $10,000, an additional distribution is triggered early (this has never happened)
